In a nutshell.

This semester was SO WEIRD. I learned a lot but I feel like I have been stalled. I'm definitely on the road to where I need to be, I'm just not making progress. I feel like I need to be DOING something and CHANGING the world and instead I'm taking classes and working as a receptionist. But I've been incredibly blessed.

Things that happened:
Two amazing jobs. I got both of these in the same week and wasn't sure I could handle them both. But I did and I love them.

Kara had her baby! Morgan Mae. She's cute.

Brittany got married. This was incredible. It just so happened that a member of the bishopric of my ward needed something moved to Houston (where her wedding was). So Lyndsay, Justin, and I took it in their Prius and his sister paid the gas. Amazing trip. I never want to drive that far again. But she was GORGEOUS and it was totally worth it.

Amy got engaged!

Chloe and I became close and went to Yuma.

I got written off. Hahahaha. That was actually the saddest I've ever felt about a person who is still living. Zac started his last letter "Dear Jane...too soon?"

Concerts! So many concerts. Mord Fustang, Porter Robinson, Mayday Parade, Woe is Me... ahhhhh... I think that was it? I can't remember.

Living with LUNA!!! And getting Oliver Charles.

Winter Formal: totally awesome and I'm glad I went.

Bronchial infection of doom.

So many new friends and friends that I grew closer with. Roland (and his apartment), Chloe, Sarah, Isaac, Enoch, Scotty (ha ha ha).

Friends on missions! Other than the one who wrote me off... I've loved writing to them! I miss them so much.

Bert is leaving in January. :/ slash :) slash :(

Straight As.

I didn't switch cars at all!! This one lasted all semester and hopefully will continue to do so.

Shared a room.

Visited home a lot. Like, a lot.

Went to the Temple a lot.

Got in touch with my more normal girl side. Can't tell if I like it or not. I think I don't.

I learned a lot about what I like and dislike in people and what I can and cannot handle. My patience has been tested and tried and sometimes it has snapped. However, I'm always learning and growing. I'm incredibly thankful for the people in my life and I know I'm blessed.

Reasons I love today

Today is a glorious day.

I slept in until nine thirty and woke up next to LunaBug. I love her.

It is raining outside. Gorgeous weather.

I took Chloe to work and realized on the drive back that there is no where I would rather be than here in Tucson in the rain. Except in Boise. And I'll be there in a matter of weeks.

I found out I got an A in Spanish 102. To think I had almost dropped into 101 at the beginning of the semester..

I submitted my final paper this morning. I have one final on Thursday and then I will be done. And I'm not too concerned with this Thursday final.

I have plans to get gelato tonight.

I'm wearing the most comfortable sweatpants ever right now.

I still fit in my bridesmaid dress for Brittany's wedding which is on Friday. I'm so happy for her.

I have the greatest friends I could ever pray for.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for Christmas break. Then I realized that I will be in New Mexico (driving through), Texas (for the wedding), Arizona (spending time with my family and friends), California (Disneyland and some layovers), and Idaho (visiting my brother and friends). My Christmas break is going to be wonderful. I didn't think it could top last year's, but I think it actually might.

I love my house and how close it is to UA.

My family is fantastic.

I love Christmas and Christmas songs and yesterday I got to go to 2 Sacrament meetings that were dedicated to Christmas and a Christmas music fireside. They were incredibly uplifting and beautiful and everything that Christmas should be.

I feel so blessed to know the people I know and be living here. I have two great jobs and I'm attending a good University.

Plus, I have the Gospel and it is such a comfort when I have bad days, and an added blessing when I have good days.

Luna

This is dedicated to my dog, Luna.

She has short blonde hair.

She loves me. Especially right when I come home.. Then she forgets about me until I go in the kitchen or sit on the couch.

She has beautiful brown eyes that she sometimes winks at me.

You could walk her for years and she would still want to keep walking.

She is dedicated to service. Last year, she walked for five straight hours at Relay for Life.

Sometimes she gets really excited and her body scrunches up and she slides around on the floor and does half jumps in the air and makes little excited barks.

She can simultaneously beg someone for love and bark at them in hatred.

I am going to write a blogpost all about Chloe.

Chloe has blonde, long, beautiful hair.

She is so nice.

Also, she is the funniest person I've ever lived with in this house.

And, she is almost always willing to help people out.

Sometimes, she does silly things. Like turn the fan on without turning on the heat. Or put peanut butter on bread and then put it in the toaster. Or eat celery.

Also, sometimes she misspells words. And she always misspells cockroach (cacaroach).

She brings me delicious Yuma food like burritos and muffins.

That is why I love Chloe.

The rest of the semester

It's been quite some time now.
Here are the highlights from this semester from after DAYGLOW:

1. I went to two other concerts. Mayday Parade, We are the In Crowd, You Me at Six. And Woe is Me, Pierce the Veil, and Miss May I. They were crazy! Mostlly the second one. It was in Mesa and I drove down with Sarah and Chloe but went to the concert with Blaine and Roland. There was moshing, crowd surfing, wall of death-ing, circle pitting.. It was insane. But awesome.

2. I got sick for like a month. I'm still sick. But hopefully I'll start getting better now. I got an inhaler and antibiotics from campus health yesterday. That should cure it.

3. I asked Luca to the Snow Ball. That's going on tonight. I'm going to tough it up and go because I am SO excited about it.

4. I went to another dance party that Victoria and Sarah hosted. It was in a daycare center.

5. I had Thanksgiving at my mom's house with her, Aaron, Taryn, Melanie, Myrna, Lucy, Ezra, and Roland. Blaine was supposed to come but is lame and didn't. The night before we ate (Friday) Roland, Taryn, and I made pies. Including a banana cream pie for stupidBlaine. :)

6. I got written off by Jenkin. Hahaha. :(

7. My classes are going well. Finals next week and the week after. Eek.

8. Chloe bought a crockpot. I'm excited about it.

9. Luna needs a haircut.

10. I went to Yuma with Chloe. That was fun. I got to see Mariah and the Williams. And eat Chile Pepper and Mostly Muffins :) mmmm.

11. My mom made horchata. We're so cultured now.

12. My jobs are going well. My class in Mad Science is fun, those kids are so great.

That is all I can think of now. It's been fun. Busy. But good. Also, one semester down and no boyfriend. That's a first since... a looong time. And I'm happy with that.
